it's my sister's birthday this weekend, which means it's going to be equal parts amazing and exhausting. we're kicking off the weekend at grandma's house tonight (i just called her and she's happily cooking away in the kitchen right now prepping for the yummy birthday dinner), then tomorrow night we'll all be going out to dinner with my parents followed by a crazy hat bar hop party and then we'll be wrapping the weekend with brunch on sunday morning. phew. i'm drained just thinking about it.....let's get this party started!!!

oh and i recently came across this video and loved it oh so much.

sharon montrose is without a doubt my favorite animal photographer. i've considered quitting everything, knocking on her door and saying, "please, can i please be your assistant."

but then i thought that would be creepy, so instead i'm just going to channel my inner sharon montrose every time i make my pups pose for pics, fill my house with all her prints and drool over her work online.   

on that note, this morning is *almost like christmas morning because her work is being featured on fab! if you're not yet a fab member, today would be a good day to become one.
