happy friday

growing up i was one of the lucky ones with a crafty and creative mom. i've never asked her but i'm pretty certain that halloween is her favorite holiday. my little sister and i always had the most creative, hand-made costumes and we always won the costume contest.

this time of year brings back so many memories of fabric shopping, costume fittings and accidental pin pricking but the end result was always glorious. i can't sew by any means but luckily i have my mom and my mother-in-law as backup reinforcements.

this year marks the last year of a stress-free halloween since baby girl is not due until nov. but it is on like donkey kong next october.

so to all the mamas out there currently fabric shopping and to all the little ones standing around patiently for those fittings, "HAPPY HALLOWEEN GAMES, AND MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!"
