these last few weeks

guess what guys, i'm on my 37th week of pregnancy! that means this little one can come any day and the doc will do absolutely nothing to try and stop it. of course, we want her to be in there just a little longer but should she happen to be ready....it's show time!

patience is certainly not one of my better qualities. so these last few weeks are going to draaaaag. i simply can not wait to count her little fingers and toes over and over and over again, to rub her soft little feet as i breastfeed her, to stare into her precious little eyes (which i'm guessing will look most like her dad's) while i bathe her and to hold her ever so close as i bundle her up in her solly wrap. i've been practicing my wrapping technique with my little peanut. he's always been pretty patient with me but this latest stunt may have been a bit much for him.

4 week countdown {or maybe less}

a few months ago when the mr. and i were looking at the calendar we marked this weekend as the final weekend to get things done. 

wash her clothes

install the car seats

write up the birth plan

pack the hospital bag

stock up on newborn diapers

etc..etc...

i'm feeling pretty good about our checklist. the more and more i stare at her little clothes the more anxious i get to have her here. i know they say these last few weeks are the hardest but these last few weeks are really the hardest. sometimes i get up too fast or i bend over and realize half way through the task that it was not the best idea. 

i have a looming feeling that she's going to come a couple weeks early, which only gives us two weeks before baby girl arrives but some may call this wishful thinking. however, if these braxton hicks are any inclination of things to come.....i'm going to say she's doing a good job at getting her mama ready for the big day. 

i'm pretty good at visualizing things so i'm working on visualizing myself going to vote on Nov. 6 and then going to the hospital with both my "i voted" sticker and game face on. 

5 week countdown

i have a feeling that when i look back at this pregnancy i'm going to remember all of her tumbling tricks. she's not much of a kicker but she definitely loves to stretch her little limbs nice and slow to make sure that i feel every single tiny little morsel of it. i've been having more vivid dreams of her in tiny little spurts because sleeping is getting harder and harder. i'm so anxious to see her little face and to watch her daddy hold her for the first time and to see the dogs reaction to this new little being in our home.

speaking of the dogs, this photo strip made me laugh so much. how cute is the last pic where it looks like the dog is actually smiling. i've already got my bet on which dog will end up being her best friend......
